It is important to note that before the expiration of the permit, it is necessary to submit documentation for extension. Documents for extending can be submitted from one month before the expiration date up to one day before the expiration.
EXTENSION OF THE PERMIT

A FOREIGN NATIONAL WHO HAS A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT ON THE BASIS OF FAMILY REUNIFICATION CANNOT WORK IN MONTENEGRO DURING THE FIRST YEAR AFTER OBTAINING THE PERMIT.
AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF ONE YEAR, THE FOREIGN MAY BE EMPLOYED ON A PART-TIME (¼ OR ½) OR FULL-TIME BASIS.
